The Tottenham Outrage of 1909 On January 23, 1909 two Jewish Bolsheviks attempted an armed robbery of Schnurmann's Rubber Factory on Chestnut Road Tottenham. They Killed one constable and wounded six others along with more than a dozen ordinary citizens in what came to be called the Tottenham Outrage.
